Cannes Film Festival was ignited with the charm of Hollywood royalty as Harrison Ford introduced his latest and final outing as Indiana Jones in "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.” The 80-year-old actor, joined by his wife Calista Flockhart and the movie’s cast, basked in the applause from a crowd adorned with classic fedora hats. Notable attendees included Disney's Bob Iger, Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy, and filmmaker Steve McQueen.

Ford received an honorary Palme d’Or, reminiscent of a similar recognition given to Tom Cruise for "Top Gun Maverick" last year. "I'm very touched. I'm very moved by this,” an emotional Ford expressed, recounting his journey.

"Dial of Destiny" aims to match or surpass the global impact of its predecessor, "Indiana and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," which despite its criticism managed to rake in $790 million worldwide. The movie is set to release on June 30 in the U.S. by Walt Disney Co., marks a major shift as it's the first Indiana Jones film not steered by Steven Spielberg or George Lucas, but James Mangold. The film co-stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, and Mads Mikkelsen.
